Meet Christy and Pixie

Yellow Dog & Company K9 began with a little yellow dog named Pixie.

Like many dog owners, I didn’t set out to become a dog trainer. I simply loved dogs and wanted to understand them better. Along the way, that curiosity grew into a passion for training, behavior, canine fitness, and Search and Rescue.

Pixie reminded me every day that dogs don’t have to be perfect to change our lives. She inspired the name Yellow Dog & Company K9 and serves as a reminder of why I do what I do—helping people build stronger relationships with their dogs through patience, understanding, and practical training.

Today, I work with everyday dog owners who want real-world results. Whether we’re working on manners at home, confidence in public, leash skills, nose work, or building a stronger partnership, my goal is to provide clear instruction, practical solutions, and support that fits your life.

In addition to training pet dogs, I am actively involved in Search and Rescue and work with my own dogs in ongoing training and certification programs. These experiences continue to deepen my understanding of canine behavior, communication, and the incredible abilities dogs bring to our lives.

At Yellow Dog & Company K9, I believe training should be approachable, achievable, and focused on the life you actually live.
